Client Overview

Mountain Ibiza is more than simply a place to visit. It’s a spiritual retreat in nature. It’s a place where wellness as well as healing and spiritual exploration come together. The brand was founded by a couple who are passionate about living a conscious life. The brand offers transformational retreats that blend yoga cleansing, the cleansing process and feminine energy work as well as deep alignment with the magical energies of Ibiza.

With people coming from all over the world, The Mountain Ibiza had always relied on word-of-mouth and the basics of a digital presence. However, with a rising demand and a rising image, they required an identity and a website that could capture their essence, something natural, sacred and deeply connected to their purpose. The goal was simple to create a unique digital identity with a heart-centered design that creates a sense of peace and intimacy while making it simple for customers to discover the offerings, book retreats and connect deeply with the company.

The Challenge

The website was lacking soul as well as structure and uniformity. It was based on a template that had no branding, it did not reflect the fullness of the retreat or the level of transformation the clients can be expecting.

The most important issues were:

  • Visual identity that was outdated Logo, color scheme and images were stale and didn’t reflect the spiritual sacred, spiritual, or soulful spirit The Mountain Ibiza represented.
  • A lack of a cohesive brand language The tone and voice were a bit off. Certain pages sounded corporate while others seemed casual.
  • The retreats were not able to tell a compelling story. Visitors weren’t in a position to experience the ethereal nature of retreats by reading the text or layout. It lacked emotional engagement.
  • Unsatisfactory user experience. Navigation confusing the retreat pages were hard to find Mobile optimization was virtually absent.
  • Limitations on bookings There was no seamless integration of bookings, leading to multiple emails that bounce back and forth and periodic drop-offs.
  • Poor performance of the site The loading times of pages were incredibly high, particularly on websites with lots of images. This is a problem for a user accessing the page through mobile devices.

The demand for health and spiritual travel increased, The Mountain Ibiza needed an entire rebranding and a digital revamp that not only told their story, but enhanced their client experience in all aspects.

What We Have Done

At WebGx we didn’t just create a new website. We redefined the entire brand story. Our approach to the task was through an intuitive and strategic lens and realized that this wasn’t just about marketing an item, but rather inviting users to embark on a journey of transformation.

We began with exploration and immersion, gaining a deeper understanding of what The Mountain Ibiza’s goal is values and voice. We also analyzed the vision, voice, and values. It wasn’t just about pixels or platforms on their own. It was about alignment of energy with the user’s psychology and spiritual authenticity.

Brand Identity Development

We started by transforming the essence from The Mountain Ibiza to the form of a verbal and visual language. The logo was reinvented into sacred symbols, an abstract mountain with soft curvatures, representing feminine energy and an ebb and flow of nature.

The color palette was sourced from the landscape of Ibiza with warm terracottas, soft sandy beaches, ocean blues and deep purples that conveyed the semblance of groundedness and mysticism. Typography combines modern serifs and a soft sans-serif that conveys the sacredness of the text and also makes it accessible.

The new brand’s sound was crafted to feel at ease, nurturing and inspiring. It’s like a warm guide to welcome you back to your own. Every word, icon or design component was selected to create a sense of peace, trust and the feeling of connection.

We also designed a complete brand style guide that gives clients a way of keeping consistency across their new materials including newsletters, and social media.

Experience-Centered Web Design

The core of our work was translating the brand’s image into an effortless digital experience.

We developed a custom site on WordPress with a clean, easy navigation and a fluid user interface. No sharp edges, no excessive animations. Just smooth transitions, and a warm grounded energy.

Each retreat had its own webpage, which was designed as a storybook with images that are full-width embedded videos, bios of the facilitators reviews, review of the schedule, testimonials, and simple access to booking and FAQs. The idea was to allow participants to visualize themselves there – to be able to smell the plants as they awoke, feel the sun’s warmth and feel the quiet that is Ibiza’s Ibizan mountains.

Subtle background motion as well as parallax scrolling and watercolor brushstroke dividers provided layers of visual depth but did not distract from the primary content. We utilized beautiful hover states as well as micro-interactions to create a sense of surprise and joy.

On mobile devices, all forms, retreat bookings and videos load effortlessly. CTA buttons remain at hand, and the structure of content was designed to be scroll-friendly.

We eliminated the amount of text that is unnecessary on mobile devices as well as added collapsible FAQs and made sure that users have a comfortable experience across all sections of the website.

Integrated Booking System

We have integrated a robust yet easy booking process that is tailored to the requirements of the customer. Visitors can now browse the dates of retreats, view availability, read about rooms and make reservations directly on the website.

The form is used to collect important participant information while also synchronizing with backend software for retreat planning. Confirmation emails, tracking payments and waitlist automation were all integrated to help reduce the administrative burden.

Stripe as well as PayPal were integrated to provide security and flexibility in payment options. We also implemented GDPR-compliant data collection as well as integration of mail lists with MailerLite to send follow-up communications and lead care.

SEO & Performance Optimization

To improve the visibility of our site and increase the amount of organic visitors, we introduced the on-page SEO best practices, including Keyword-optimized and semantic HTML headers, lazy loading, image compression and a clean site structure.

After the launch, WebGx continued to partner with The Mountain Ibiza to offer continuous assistance and improvement.

We monitored user behavior using Hotjar as well as Google Analytics, optimizing the flow of content and altering the position of CTAs to maximize impact.

We also helped them with the launch of new products (like courses online and female energy courses) with the same design system – ensuring visual and UX uniformity throughout.
