Client Overview

When Cocoon Reserve first reached out to WebGX, they had a vision but no visual language to express it. They were preparing to launch a boutique luxury retreat experience and needed everything built from the ground up — a brand identity that would resonate with high-end travelers, a digital presence that could compete with the best in the hospitality space, and a website that would convert curious visitors into confirmed bookings. It was exactly the kind of project our team lives for.

The Challenge

The hospitality market is saturated. Scroll through any travel platform and you’ll find hundreds of properties all claiming to offer something special. The real challenge for Cocoon Reserve wasn’t just standing out visually — it was creating a brand that felt genuinely premium without becoming cold or untouchable. Luxury hospitality brands often fall into one of two traps: they either resemble every other high-end resort, relying on the same muted neutrals and generic serif fonts, or they attempt to be too different, losing the sense of warmth and comfort that travelers actually desire. We had to find the space between those two extremes.

Adding to that complexity was the fact that Cocoon Reserve had no existing brand assets, no visual history, and no digital footprint to build from. Everything — from the color palette to the typography to the website architecture — had to be created from scratch. That’s both a creative opportunity and a significant responsibility.

What We Have Done

We started where we always start: with research and conversation. Our team spent time understanding the founders’ vision for the retreat, the kind of guests they wanted to attract, and the experience they hoped people would have from the moment they landed on the website to the moment they checked out of the property. We looked at the competitive landscape, identifying both local and international luxury hospitality brands, and mapped out where the opportunities for differentiation lay.

From there, we developed a brand identity system that balanced warmth with refinement. The color palette drew from natural, earthy tones that evoked the surrounding landscape while staying elevated and contemporary. We selected typography that felt editorial and confident without being stiff. The logo was designed to be versatile — strong enough to anchor a website header, delicate enough to work as an embossed detail on printed materials.

For the UI/UX design, we prioritized the emotional journey of the user. Every screen was designed to evoke a feeling in the visitor — to create anticipation, stir desire, and make them picture themselves there. We mapped the user flow carefully, reducing friction at every stage of the booking process while keeping the visual experience rich and immersive. High-quality image placement, thoughtful white space, and carefully considered micro-interactions all worked together to create a digital experience that matched the quality of the physical one.

The development phase brought all of this to life. We built the site on a robust, performance-optimized foundation that ensured fast load times even when serving large, high-resolution images. Mobile responsiveness was treated as a priority from day one, not an afterthought.

Results

The results spoke for themselves. Cocoon Reserve launched with a brand and website that immediately positioned them at the top of their competitive set. Within the first month of going live, the website was generating consistent organic inquiries. The founders reported that multiple guests had specifically mentioned the website as a key reason they chose Cocoon Reserve over comparable properties, which is exactly the kind of feedback that validates the investment in thoughtful design.

The brand identity system we developed has proven flexible enough to carry across all their marketing materials, from social media to printed collateral, maintaining a consistent and polished presence at every touchpoint. The website continues to perform well, with strong engagement metrics and a smooth booking conversion rate that reflects the care we put into the user experience.

Working with Cocoon Reserve reminded us why we do this work. When branding and design are done well, they don’t just look good — they create real business outcomes. We’re proud of what we built together, and we look forward to watching the brand grow.
