Mountain Ibiza is a boutique hospitality brand that offers an alternative to the island’s well-known party culture, focusing instead on agrotourism, wellness retreats, and eco-conscious travel. Situated in the rugged, tranquil interior of Ibiza, the business caters to a high-end demographic seeking restoration, nature, and authentic Spanish heritage. Their market challenge is one of “re-perception”—positioning Ibiza as a destination for quiet luxury and mindfulness to attract travelers who would typically avoid the coastal nightlife hubs.

The Challenge

Ibiza has an image problem for certain kinds of travellers — all neon and noise. Mountain Ibiza exists to show the other side of the island: the interior, the quiet, the yoga retreats and hiking trails that most tourists never find. Their brand needed to attract a completely different kind of Ibiza visitor. The challenge was not just creating something beautiful — it was creating something that actively countered the dominant image of Ibiza in the minds of their ideal customer.

Our Approach

The branding had to do a lot of heavy lifting — it needed to immediately communicate this is not that Ibiza without ever saying it explicitly. We built a visual identity around the natural landscape: earth tones, organic shapes, photography that showed stone walls and olive trees rather than pool parties. Every element was chosen to evoke slowness, depth, and authenticity.

What We Have Done

The logo drew from the typography of old Spanish signage — warm, unhurried, and rooted in place. The colour system was entirely drawn from the island’s interior: limestone white, terracotta, sage green, and deep indigo sky. The website design extended this identity into a digital experience that felt like arriving in the mountains rather than the port. Large landscape photography, minimal navigation, and storytelling sections that introduced guests to the retreat before they arrived. A curated experiences section lets potential guests visualise their stay in concrete, sensory terms rather than abstract promises. The booking flow was designed to feel like the beginning of the experience rather than a transaction.

Results

Mountain Ibiza attracted a new segment of travellers who had previously overlooked Ibiza entirely. Booking enquiries from their target demographic — wellness-focused, experience-seeking, typically 35 to 55 — increased after the brand and site launched together. The brand became a reference point in conversations about the other side of Ibiza, earning organic press coverage and social sharing from guests who felt the identity perfectly captured what they had been looking for.
